DO THESE 3 THINGS AND YOUR OPPORTUNITIES WILL PRODUCE MORE

DO THESE 3 THINGS AND YOUR OPPORTUNITIES WILL PRODUCE MORE

Ecclesiastes 9:11, I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

An excellent character is one of the greatest strengths required to take  your chances in life. Men who learn to build great character are building a solid foundation for tomorrow. You just cannot be bigger than your character. Lack of character is the reason why many people fall cheaply from the top. What makes  men fall from the top usually climbs up with them unchecked. God spends time to build people before exposing them. God publishes character not people. Character is what you are in secret. God sees in the secret and then rewards openly.

Beloved, spend good and solid time to build into your life divine characteristics. When the chances come it will be easy for you to take them and use them for your lifting in life. Character is the greatest virtue of a child of God.

Have you ever considered 1 Corinth 13 and see how God compares the character of love to gifts, power, and all attributes to knowledge? With all knowledge, understanding of mysteries, faith, and being endowed with all the gifts of the spirit, but without love, you amount to nothing before God. What a comparison! There are so many kinds of character which you must build and develop in your life to enable you to take chances.

Could you imagine what would have become of Joseph if he had messed up with Potiphars wife? He had all the cover in the world to commit such a dastardly fornication and not be seen. Of course, he could have eaten it and wiped his mouth neatly. But it was not so with Joseph. A man endowed with exemplary character of faithfulness. A man possessed with the fear of God. Listen to what he said. Gen 39 :9

There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

Oh what great character. Do you realize that he went to prison because he wouldn’t compromise with his character? He wouldn’t sin against God in secret, neither could he cheat, trespass against a man who had shown him kindness. No wonder he came out of prison as a shining star. He became the prime minister of Egypt on a platter of character. Yes time and chance located him in his low estate and took him up. Beloved, don’t yield to pressure to commit sin or take the short cut.

Prov 1:10, My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

Never give consent to anything that will not please your God, even if you will not be participating directly. What do you think Joseph’s story would have been if he had messed up with Poitphars wife? Of coarse he would have messed up his glorious destiny. He would have been caught still and put in that same prison but this time he probably would have been forgotten therein. There are two principal virtues to learn from that story of Joseph and they are:

1 . FAITHFULNESS.

In verse 6 the bible refers to Joseph as a goodly person. Beloved, can you be referred to as a goodly person? Are you sure you wouldn’t do what Joseph refused to do? So many destinies and futures are wasting away because they just do not know how to say no to temptation. They take demonic advantages and opportunities. If men would realize that for anything they take from the devil, they are forfeiting something better from God. Joseph was a faithful fellow. It was therefore not surprising that promotion followed him into the prison.  See Gen 39:22

And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.

Time and chance located him again in the prison and took him to the top as a prisoner. Beloved, whatsoever condition you may find yourself in, time and chance will happen to you. You shall not miss your time or chance in Jesus name.

Besides the faithfulness and fear of God, there are some other virtues you must imbibe into your system, out of which I will briefly share a few.

2.  DILIGENCE

Beloved, you have got to learn to take your time as your life. Time wasted is life wasted. Avoid postponing what you are meant to do today until tomorrow. A diligent man is an asset to his master.  Lets's see Prov 22:29

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Beloved, diligence is your access to work with the mighty in the land. You will definitely find your way to the top standing before directors and chairmen if you are diligent with your work.  As you are paying attention to your work and doing it as if there is no other work, someone will see your good work and announce your name for a bigger job. Time and chance will surely visit a diligent man and lift him up among the giants in the land.  You can never subtract diligence from the story of success.

3. HONESTY AND INTEGRITY.

These are virtues closely related to FAITHFULNESS. The bible says that the integrity of the righteous will preserve him. Integrity and honesty are learnt at a very young age and they will mature at old age. It begins when you learn never to tell lies and keep all your promises at a young age. When you grow old, you will be distinguished as a leader.

Men are looking for men who are tested and trusted to be their leader. You shall be found among the many. Integrity is what puts gravity in the words of your mouth. Even God has respect unto men of integrity. He can vouch for and bet on them. Listen to Him speak about Abraham, Job, and David in

Gen 18:19, For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

Job 2:3, And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

Psalm 78:72, `` 72So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

Beloved ,big, big opportunities are coming your way this year and your character will set you  apart. You are not missing any of them in Jesus Name. Amen
