Day and Night assault
There are some weapons that are used solely during the day, while others are used solely during the night; but fiery darts are used day and night. Psalm 91 bears this truth out.
Psalms 91:5-6
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day.
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. There are some people who would have you erroneously believe that the devil only operates during the night. We can see that these verses should put that myth to rest. The devil paces to and fro, day and night, throwing his deadly arrows at unwary targets. These verses explain that demonic dreams are not limited to nighttime alone. Some of the worst dream attacks have been known to take place during the day because the enemy is busy day and night.
Diverse Descriptive Names There is something else I want to draw your attention to in these two verses. These fiery darts are mentioned with four distinct names which describe what the darts do. Let’s take a look at these names. 1. They are called “Terror” in verse five. They are so called because they terrorize the intended victims.
2. They are also called “Arrows” in verse five.
3. Another name for them in verse six is “Pestilence” because they bring poison or pestilence to their victims.
4. The fourth name that is mentioned in verse six is “Destruction” because of the destructive nature of their impact.
Let me say to you that if there is anything that is terrorizing you, if there is a fiery dart working against you, if there is pestilence all around you or if there is destruction working against you it may very well be the handiwork of the wicked one. A Christian lady once told me about a recent experience she had been through. She was relaxing in her living room when she suddenly heard something that sounded like a gunshot. She felt an impact on her foot but had no idea where the gunshot came from or how it came through to where she was sitting. She didn’t see a hole in her foot but immediately after the “gunshot” her foot began to swell. It got bigger and bigger every day and by the time she saw me she could not fit her foot into her shoe. To reduce the foot back to a normal size took some intensive deliverance prayer and we were very deliberate about making sure the arrow was marked “return to sender”. What you are reading about is a very serious matter. There was a lady who told me about an experience her father had some time ago. He had been admitted to the hospital and needed several pints of blood. The hospital staff gave him pints upon pints of blood but the blood simply dried up on entering his body. This was evidence that the enemy was terrorizing him. The doctors and nurses were baffled by the disappearance of the blood and eventually it led to his death.
Secret Attack
Psalms 64:3-4 3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. The way the bitter words in these verses work is the same way the arrows of the enemy work. First, they are shot in secret. They are propelled from a secret place, and fly invisible to the human eye. It isn’t until after they make their impact and the damage is done that you realize what has happened. It is so good that the Lord does not allow us to see everything that he sees because we would not be able to handle the sight. You would be able to see all kinds of spiritual projectiles on their way to their intended victims. There would be thousands upon thousands of them coming over land, across the sea and in the air. Just imagine how terrible this world would be if not for God’s restraining power. It is wonderful to know that God protects us from these arrows that fly all around us day and night. God has to protect us because according to verse four, we are the target. 4 “That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.” The devil loves to shoot at the perfect. I once heard a story of how the devil gave one of his human agents fourteen years to destroy a man of God. He was a well known and highly successful man of God. The enemy wanted him destroyed by all means. He therefore equipped his agents with powerful spiritual arrows for the assignment. They shot every spiritual arrow they had at this Pastor but each arrow backfired. This led them to change tactics. They decided to give him a cursed gift. One of them took a gift to the pastor and told him that he had brought the gift in appreciation for what the pastor had done for him. He told the pastor that as a result of his prayers he was now healed and successful in life. That was an easily believable story because the pastor prayed such prayers for many people. It was impossible to know if he had actually prayed for this man or not As he stretched out his hand to give the gift to the pastor, the Holy Spirit cautioned the man of God not to take it from him. The pastor said to him, “Sir, you need to give your life to Jesus.” The agent replied, “Yes, I am ready to be a Christian.” The pastor then told him to repeat the sinner’s prayer after him, but when the Pastor told him to say, “In Jesus name I pray,” he could not say that phrase. Rather the wicked man said, “In Jehu name I pray” because the Lord’s name was too powerful for him to mention. Realizing that he was exposed, he stormed out of the pastor’s office more determined than ever to bring him down. In desperation this agent of the devil spent all his time under the water for three months to seek help from water spirits. They tried their best to help the agent but came up short as well. They could not succeed at destroying the pastor. To make a long story short he went back to that pastor who boldly told him, “You will have no peace until you know Jesus!” Once again he stormed out of the pastor’s office. The agent was the Islamic Morning Prayer leader for the mosque where he worshipped. When he went to the mosque the next day to carry out his religious duty the unthinkable happened. As he opened his mouth to speak Arabic prayers he found himself uncontrollably shouting, “Jesus is Lord.” The Muslims in the mosque were alarmed and openly wondered what had happened to their early Morning Prayer leader. Then he started speaking in an unknown tongue so they threw him out of the mosque. He came back to the Pastor and totally surrendered his life to the Lord. It was after his conversion that he told the congregation the story I just narrated.
The Enemy Loves to Target Christians
Look at all the things that happened to Job. All the bad things that happened to him were the touch of the evil one through fiery darts. The enemy never had any physical contact with Job but rather used his fiery darts on him and on everything else that he touched. As a matter of fact, Job knew it was the handiwork of some arrow for he said in Job 6:4: 4 “For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.”
Job was right about the medium used in the attack but was wrong about the source of it.

Indicators
Listed below are the indicators that fiery darts are at work in someone’s life: One of the ways you will know if fiery darts are at work in your life is through the kind of dreams you dream. Generally, before a Christian comes under an attack God many times will allow the person to dream a dream or series of dreams to warn of the impending attack. Many of the dreams that we call nightmares are simply warnings from God, and are meant to send us to our knees to do some binding and losing (that way we can prevent the enemy from carrying out his plan.) Unfortunately many Christians are not trained to listen to their dreams. That is why I have written a book on dreams. Many people have found it to be a very useful tool. It is impossible to list every dream but I’ll give you some common ones. If you want an exhaustive list of warfare dreams I recommend that you get a copy of my book on dreams. Individuals having the following dreams can consider themselves as under fiery dart attacks: 1. If you eat in your dreams.
-A lady once told me that each time she ate in the dream she would wake up with food particles around her mouth and on her pillow.
-A friend of mine once lived in a very hostile environment. One day he had a dream in which a woman was trying to give him something to eat. They struggled for a long time. The struggle was so bad that they both rolled off the bed to the floor. He later woke up and found himself on the floor with the substance she was trying to force feed him. If she had succeeded only God knows what would have happened to my friend.
-I once heard about the story of a man who ate in his dreams and something that felt like a snake began to crawl around on the inside of him. Doctors could not diagnose his condition and they couldn’t offer any relief. It took serious deliverance prayers to liberate him.
2. If you have sexual relationship in your dreams.
3. If you have a feeling of someone or something pressing you down while you are asleep and all efforts to shout or scream prove difficult.
4. If you always fight with snakes or you play with snakes.
5. If you are always pursued by animals.
6. If things are stolen from you.
7. If you constantly see dead people.
8. If you are always seeing blood.
-Someone once told me about the following shocking dream. A lady had a dream in which she saw a five fingered apparition that tore at her face. She woke up immediately and found blood gushing from her face. She looked in the mirror and saw a five fingered blood stained print on her face. That is one super fiery dart!
She immediately went into serious prayers to deal with these fiery darts. She had been praying for a while when a big rat fell from the ceiling. This was amazing since the ceiling had no holes in it. She picked up the rat and dropped it in a bucket of water and put a lid over it.
After praying for another fifteen minutes she opened the bucket but found out that the rat had turned into a snake. She asked God for boldness to deal with the snake, and God answered her prayer, for she took the snake by the neck and drowned it in the water. In the morning she burned the snake and her face miraculously got healed and the long standing problems in her life ceased immediately.
9. Attack by armed robbers.
10. Gun or arrow shots.
-A young man once woke up with a mysterious cut on his face a little above his eyes, and he said he was injured while asleep. The whole story was that he dreamt of a hand that lifted up a bottle and hit him in the face with it. To his great surprise blood covered one part of his face and his pillow was wet with blood. This took place around 2.00 a.m. and the cut was so deep that the next day he had to go to the hospital to receive stitches. How about that? This was an arrow shot at him while he was sleeping.
Another brother told of how he dreamt that somebody had shot him with an arrow in his back. He got up and found his bed sheet stained with blood and blood gushed out from his back at the point where he was pierced with the arrow.
I can go on and on with accounts of true dreams like these. I just hope I have told you enough to get your attention to start listening to your dreams. They tell you a lot about what is going on in the realm of the spirit.
Let’s proceed with other indicators of fiery dart attacks
11. Fire burning around you in your dream.
12. Mentally sick people pursuing you.
Other non-dream indicators are:
13. Prolonged pregnancy.
-Many people in the West may find this unbelievable but pregnancies have been known to last as long as five years and ten years. People in such situation sometimes have disappearing pregnancies where the baby is gone for weeks only for the pregnancy to resume again. Some have even given birth to children with full grown teeth and long nails. We truly live in a wicked world.
14. Inability to find and keep a spouse.
15. Miscarriage.
16. Family unrest.
17. Total collapse of business.
18. Total collapse of finances.
19. Inexplicable hatred by those who otherwise should love you..
20. Depression.
21. Tiredness.
22. Premature aging.
23. Suicidal tendencies.
24. Sickness that defies diagnosis.
25. Experiencing inexplicable loss of weight.
26. Unexpected expenses taking away expected income.
27. Blockages that operate at the edge of a breakthroughs.
28. Delays
29. Academic backwardness.
30. Professional backwardness.
31. Prayerlessness.
32. Inability to fast.
33. Lack of interest in spiritual things.
34. Sowing but not reaping.
35. Working like an elephant but eating like an ant.
36. Sleeplessness.
37. Restlessness.
38. If you hear voices in your dreams or in real life, you may be under this attack.
39. Something invisible moving all over your body.
40. Persistent mental problems.
41. Addictions.
42. Proneness to accident and disasters.
43. Insufficiency of resources even when your income seems adequate.
44. Feeling of being haunted.
45. Bed wetting.
46. Persistent bad body odor.
This is an arrow I have found that is all too common. Out of all the cases I have dealt with concerning this arrow only one was a man. I therefore assume this is an arrow targeted mostly at women. The story of the man’s case is told in another book of mine, Delivered from Evil.
We confronted this arrow in a middle aged woman a couple of years ago. She and her husband broke up and he vowed to get even with her. Within days after he made his threat a very foul odor began emitting from her body. She spent all her money trying to get medical help to no avail.
Then someone told her about us and in the middle of the deliverance session she screamed out loud, “Do you all see the skunk coming out of my body?” She did but we did not. The husband had used a skunk as the arrow shot into her body. No wonder she smelled so bad for so long. The skunk came out and she was delivered from the foul odor.
Jesus is the Answer
It is very sad that people seek help in all the wrong places. When some discover that they have been successfully attacked with fiery darts they don’t realize that the agents of the devil cannot help them. Devils never cast devils out. Only by the finger of God can demonic attacks be extracted.
Someone might say, “But I once had a problem and a witchcraft practitioner helped me out.”
Take it from me, they cannot help anyone. The best they can do is move the problem from one area of your life to another area. To make matters worse the person is then cursed by God for consulting the enemies of God.
What I just wrote above is even more vividly reflected by what a man told me recently. When he was eleven years old, his parents moved from West Africa to London. Trips like that were made by sea in those days. Unfortunately, one week into the journey he became very sick.
Everyone gave him up for dead except his mother and she delayed the ship for a whole week at one of the port calls. He was taken to a witchcraft practitioner in town. He promised to remove whatever his problem was, but he was upfront with his mother telling her that there is no way the problem can be truly removed by witchcraft powers. He said the best he could do was to move the problem to another area of her son’s life.
The way he would do it was to prolong his life using his future life accomplishments in exchange. In other words, he would not die but would live the rest of his life accomplishing nothing. The mother was desperate for her son to live so she went ahead and agreed with the witchcraft doctor and the deal was sealed. Within hours he was well and they proceeded on the journey to England.
What he discovered as he grew up was that no matter how hard he tried he could not accomplish anything. No matter how close he got to a breakthrough something would always block him.
Forty years after the above incident took place, he was deported a week before graduating from medical school.
Don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking that some powerful man or woman can help you out of your problem. If the power they use is not the gospel power then they will only compound your problem. Jesus alone is the solid rock; all other ground is sinking sand.
John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
The Main Source
In my humble opinion, I believe the main source of these spiritual missiles is witchcraft. Regardless of what part of the world you visit you will find that witchcraft is prevalent. There are countries where classified advertisements are placed in newspapers promoting witchcraft. There are even hospitals where witchcraft is incorporated into the art of healing the sick.
God knows how deadly witchcraft is and that is why he strongly rebukes its practice. A lot of scriptures forbid it.
Exodus 22:18
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
God was very clear to those who lived under the Old Testament dispensation about how he wanted them to deal with witches. Why was God this drastic with witches? The reason is very simple. The elimination of witches will put an end to their wickedness.
Lev 20:27
A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
There is no way we can do this under the new dispensation but I believe there is a lot we can accomplish through effectual fervent prayers.
It is worthy of note that not only will the elimination of witchcraft put an end to their wickedness, but it will also prevent gullible citizens from consulting them. We see this in the book of Leviticus.
Lev 20:6
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Obviously God is not angry with the practitioners alone but with those who consulted them too.
Point of Contact
Have you ever wondered what makes their wickedness so effective? It is something called point of contact.
Whatever comes from your body can be used as powerful divination against you. It is now I understand why our parents in Africa would warn us against throwing our nail clippings carelessly away. They knew that in wrong hands your nail clippings can be used to nail you.
I remember one time playfully cutting my little brother’s hair with a pair of scissors. My parents were alarmed and wondered who had cut part of their child’s hair. When they found out I was the one goofing around with it, they gave me some jungle justice that remains in my memory to this very day.
When you are in an unfriendly environment you don’t give the enemy any room to carry out his wickedness against you. Deny him any handhold on any point of contact that can be used to shoot fiery darts against you.
One day I went to a national chain bookstore in New York to buy a book. On the checkout counter they had a few books displayed for those who might be interested. My eyes caught the title of one of them because it was about how to put a curse on anyone. I was curious and I asked myself, “Could this be real, or is the title a joke?”
Out of curiosity I picked up the book while I waited to be checked out. What I read was unbelievable. It was a step by step instruction on how to propel a fiery dart of a spell, a curse, or a jinx at someone. The author further wrote that to promote effectiveness, you need something that has touched the body of the victim, like underwear, a nail clipping, spittle or hair. I could not believe my eyes. Witchcraft has truly come out of the closets. A lady came to see me a few years back and had experienced what I am writing about firsthand.
Her best friend just walked away with her millionaire husband. How did she accomplish this feat? Through a fiery dart shot at her marriage, and the diabolic act was made powerful by a point of contact. Her story is a very sad one.
She and her husband invited her best friend over for dinner. Their kitchen was the type that had a washer and dryer in a closet. While she was busy setting up the table, her friend went in the closet and took his socks and her tights. That was all she needed as point of contact to separate them. The rest is history now since she lost her husband to the woman.
Another very pretty lady came to see me with a very sad story. As pretty as she was no one was willing to marry her. She later found out that some missing underwear on her cloth line did her in. She had washed her clothes one morning and spread them on the line to dry. By the time she got back in the evening to remove her clothes, her favorite underwear had disappeared and so was her prospect of getting married.
I once saw a television program that shocked me to my innermost being. It was an interview with the owner of a Botanical Store in New York City. The store owner took the producer round the store as the television crew interviewed him. He showed them carvings, effigies, candles, and ropes and so on and so forth.
Then he took one of the effigies and ropes and told the television crew that in the hands of seasoned witchcraft workers the effigy could be made to represent someone while the rope could be made to represent a medium of bindings for the individual, He said after reciting powerful incantations then the rope would be tied around the effigy.
As it is being tied, the practitioner will call out the name of the victim and mention which area of his or her life should be tied up. He said it could be finances, business, health or whatever. He further said that the curse will be more effective if something that has touched the body of the victim is tied to the effigy. I could not believe my eyes as I watched the interview. Lastly he said that those who do such evil should however expect a threefold return of the evil they perpetrate.
I can write volumes about how ordinary photographs have been used for extraordinary purposes by witchcraft practitioners. It is one of the most powerful points of contacts when fiery darts are in play.
A brother who once worked in a very hostile environment once told me his experience along these lines. He became sick and all efforts to get well proved abortive. He went to the best doctors in town but they could not help him. As the Lord would have it a friend of his that was a prophet came to his house and saw the condition he was in. He prayed for him and immediately the Lord opened the eyes of the prophet and showed him that there were some people on his job trying to kill him.
These people took possession of a group photograph taken at work, carefully separated him out and placing a powerful curse against it, placed the picture under the sun. Gradually the picture faded and as it faded so did the life of the brother. He would have died gradually but thank God the prayer of faith reversed the curse and he is alive and well today.
The use of photographs as point of contact is a practice that has been in existence for many years. I have heard stories of jilted boyfriends using photographs against ex-lovers and vice versa. I have heard of how wedding pictures, graduation pictures have been used as well. I remember how back in Africa years ago they used to tell us to hold our breadth while taking pictures. There is a belief that no one will be able to tap into the energy of our breadth if we hold our breadth while the pictures are being snapped. I don’t know how valid that is but we believed it.
Whenever you pray against fiery darts you need to incorporate the issue of point of contact. Experience has shown that witchcraft agents often use it as part of their attacks.
